You not really one of us
I've just about had it with those in the disabled community not raising a voice about this, so let me be the first. Those of you that think it's "ok" to buck the system and use the avenue's made available to the disabled is simply disingenuous. Parking in a handicap space because it's "closer" to your destination and you happen to be a little bit bigger, does not give you the right to park there, and then when you pull out a motorized cart or wheelchair, that's hardly justification for you to use that spot. Before those parking spaces, the disabled community had to use regular parking spaces, and even though those spaces were further away we still survived. Why don't you do the smart thing and donate that scooter or wheelchair to those that need it more, and use those muscles in your legs and walk to your destination, rather then parking in a spot that has never been designated for you. I don't want to h hear the argument that "eating" is a chronic disorder hence your waist size, because it takes just as much energy to close the refrigerator, as it does to open it looking for something to eat. I know it might take a lot for this movement to start, but maybe would stop avoiding this issue, and actually rase some hell about it things will change.
